Pipe
Bursting is a trench less construction method for replacing old pipe by
fragmenting the existing pipe and installing a completely new HDPE pipe of
equal diameter or larger in its place. The process involves initial cracking,
followed by fragmenting the host pipe, creation of a new tunnel and
simultaneous installation of a new pipe. Pipe bursting is the only trench
less process that makes it possible to make the size of existing pipes larger
without excavating and replacing the pipe. |

This
no-dig process is perfect for enlarging the size of utility pipe, existing
water and sewers or other pipelines without excavation, therefore keeping the
mess to a minimum. This allows the replacement of pipe to occur in alleys,
streets, highways, under train tracks, and airports. Pipes can be replaced
under building, rivers, swamps, and parks with no disruptions in service. |
